Bootstraps was an idea I came up with years ago. Never left the confines of my hard drive until my hometown of Rockford, IL, decided to have a song contest that pertains to the coronavirus stay at home situation. Some lyric re-writes and song arrangement changes were in order to have it fit the current situation. And I had a lot of help doing both from my wife Lana and son Zach. The song encourages us to pull up our bootstraps and show them how we'll get through this together somehow. It's a hard-driving, high energy song that will uplift and get you moving (albeit just around the house). Enjoy!

Seems so long since we’ve been told
Isolate and please forego
Raise up your shield and best adhere
Until they say the coast is clear

Pull up our boot straps and show them how
We’ll get through this somehow
